There are few things I am not happy with. First off, attaching this tent to the carpet on the inside of a camper shell will eventually pull the carpet away from the camper shell, after only a short period of time of having it attached to the inside of my camper shell, the carpet has started to pull away from the shell. There are numerous examples of this from other buyers. The strapping used to secure the tent to the tailgate is loose and not very well thought out. For the price point of $300 I expected a little better quality as to there is very little material that makes up the actual tent. upon receiving my order, the packaging that it was shipped in, left a lot to be desired. There was no instructions no paperwork of any kind and my product had been taken out of the package and loosely placed in the box just simply, so it fit.
Nice quality material, however, we were unaware this was meant for a carpeted topper set up. Not much information on non-carpeted topper install so we improvised.
I was attracted to Topper Tent for its simplicity and the fact that it can be stored inside the cap and deployed instantly. I've had other tents for the bed, but if you left your campsite to go out for any reason -such as dinner and come back you have to put the tent up, with all the poles, etc. This one is so easy ready to go especially at night when it could be normally troublesome to assemble.
Love not having to splash out for a rooftop tent or sleep on the ground. Initial setup was a little tricky just because the velcro is tenacious (pro tip: start in the middle of the top and work your way to the sides).
Works great! supper easy to set up, very convenient to store, makes camping comfortable and easy!
